Paco de Calheiros
Paço de Calheiros has a most impressive entrance with its distinguished gateway, beautiful tree-lined drive and stone fountain. The Count of Calheiros, who will proudly show his 17th Century family home, makes guests to feel very welcome. A magnificent view of the Lima valley can be seen from the tranquil gardens. Facilities include a chapel, a cellar, gardens, a swimming pool, and wine tasting. Evening meals available on request.
Casa dos Assentos
The name 'Assentos' (house of records) was given to this house as it was once the place where agreements concerning local rents were kept. Today this splendid manor house remains as an ancestral monument of the 17th Century. Its large, grandiose apartments are set in traditional stone cottages, with wooden floors and ceilings.
Quinta do Paço d'Anha
Paço d'Anha is a fine example of the 16th century Portuguese architecture. The interior of the house is something of a museum with many superb pieces of antique furniture on display. The name Paço was awarded to the house after the King D.Antonio Prior de Crato was hidden here in 1580, when he was being sought by Spanish soldiers. The property has ample gardens, produces its own wine and provides access to the farm operation for those interested. The 5 apartments on the property offer privacy, comfort and tranquility with easy access to Viana and its nearby beaches, only 3kms away.
Bajo el Cejo
In the heart of the beautiful Sierra Espuña Natural park is this charming manor house. Once used by charcoal makers and as a water mill, the buildings are set amongst striking natural rock formations and the picturesque landscape. Renovated with great taste and warmth, the property offers 13 inviting rooms and suites with underfloor heating, air conditioning, ensuite bathrooms, latex mattresses and internet access. The clever use of wood and clay throughout the rooms and reception area add to the allure of the small hotel and the property further boasts an outdoor swimming pool with lovely views. Meals available on a request basis and private parking provided.
Molino del Santo
Molino del Santo is a charming property located in the countryside near the famous town of Ronda. Originally an old windmill, the property has been attractively restored into a small hotel with rambling terraced gardens and offers 18 individually decorated bedrooms along with a heated pool. Known for its good service and the use of local food and wines, there is a restaurant and bar offering you an idea place to relax in a stunning countryside setting.
Casa de Los Azulejos
This delightful 17th C home has been lovingly restored into an attractive hotel with masses of character. Each of the 8 rooms are unique and face onto a central courtyard decorated with coloured tiles. A traditional style permeates the entire property. Ambience and amentities combine here to complete the picture.
Casona de la Paca
Lovely little restored mansion from 1877, surrounded by an ample garden abundant in camelias, magnolias and century old oaks. Just 2.5 km to the beach with many local walks, national parks and northern villages to enjoy in the surrounding area. Has its own swimming pool and children's playground and free WiFi.
Posada San Jose
A 17th century inn, once Velazquez's family home. Offering magnificent views over the Huecar River Gorge, the hotel has twisting staircases, antique furnishings and a truly authentic feel.
El Ladron de Agua
This refurbished 16th century palace is located in the centre of Granada, opposite the Alhambra and at the feet of the well known Albaicín quarter. The concept of the hotel was inspired by the romantic spirit of the travellers who from time immemorial have journeyed to Granada in search of its magic and beauty. The hotel is named after the poem Olvidos de Granada (Memories of Granada) written by Juan Ramón Jimenez. Hotel Castell d'Emporda
Built on old Roman foundations, the 14th century Gothic style building and the 16th century baroque tower give an idea of the architectural value of this old fortress that is today enclosed in a 10 hectare estate in the heart of the L´Empordá region. The over eight hundred year old walls could tell their tale. The rooms have extraordinary views of the fields and prairies of the L´Empordá, the sea, the mountains or the garden and pond, which has been replaced by the swimming pool. In the interior the decor will surprise the guest with material from the most diverse corners of the globe: Morocco, China, India...creating individual styles and atmospheres in each room.
