Sevilla & Granada - A Culinary Adventure

Day 1 Sevilla

Arrival in Sevilla where you are met at the airport / train station and transferred to your hotel for check in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Sevilla, capital of 'Andalucia', is an energetic city with charming, tiny cobbled streets and beautiful, colourfully tiled patios. Overnight.

Day 2 Sevilla

Breakfast. Enjoy a fully escorted half day orientation tour of Sevilla. Spend the afternoon at leisure enjoying wonderful Tapas. Overnight.

Day 3 Sevilla - Arcos de la Frontera - Sevilla

Breakfast. Enjoy an excursion with a private driver/guide to Arcos de la Frontera, one of the most dramatic and beautiful of the famous pueblos blancos or white towns, being situated on a rocky limestone ridge with a sheer cliff face that plunges down into the valley below.  We will start with a visit to a beautifully designed winery is surrounded by 75 hectares of vines, including Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tintilla de Rota. The mountains of the Sierra de Grazalema form a backdrop making this a place of incredible beauty. You'll get to see the vineyard before looking around the installations and then of course tasting the excellent wines. It's then off to Arcos where we will enjoy lunch with wine.  Some time to wander around the town’s amazing streets and squares. Back to Sevilla.  Overnight.

Day 4 Sevilla - Granada

Breakfast. Farewell the city as you take the 
regional train to Granada, a journey of 
approximately 3hrs. Arrival in Granada and 
make your way to your hotel for check in. 
Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Granada is 
Spain's great Moorish city and is lively and vibrant.   
 A walk through the Arab quarter the 'Albaizin' is 
well worthwhile. Overnight Granada.

Breakfast. Farewell the city as you take the regional train to Granada, a journey of approximately 3hrs. Arrival in Granada and make your way to your hotel for check in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Granada is Spain's great Moorish city and is lively and vibrant. A walk through the Arab quarter the 'Albaizin' is well worthwhile. Overnight.

Day 5 Granada

Breakfast. This morning you will enjoy a fully escorted tour of the Alhambra Palace and Generalife gardens. The beauty of Granada is encapsulated in the legendary Alhambra, the last bastion of the Moors in Spain.  It was built under Ismail I, Yusuf I and Muhammad V, caliphs when the Nasrid dynasty ruled Granada. Free afternoon. Overnight.

Day 6 Granada - Lecrin Valley - Granada

Breakfast. Enjoy a gourmet excursion into the Lecrin valley today.  You will be collected from your hotel in Granada and driven to a private finca which stands on land near a ruined Arab castle with stunning views over the valley and is surrounded by groves of oranges, lemons and olives.  After a morning coffee or tea upon arrival you will get started in the kitchen, where your host will take you step-by-step through the preparation of five tapas dishes, using the freshest of seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients. The morning’s class is at a relaxed pace, with the emphasis on having fun, swapping stories and so on, and is rounded off with a leisurely lunch with wine on the sun-terrace overlooking the Arab fortress and the Valley as you enjoy the fruits of your labour.   After lunch you may wish to stroll through the campo or have a siesta in the garden or house. Afternoon tea with Moroccan pastries and sweets is served before you are driven back to Granada.  Overnight.

Day 7 Granada

Breakfast and end of services.
