Day 1 Madrid - Trujillo - Lisboa

Departure from bus Terminal at Calle Ferraz 3, at 0800hrs through the region of Extremadura. It was from here that the famous 'conquistadores', Pizarro and Cortez ventured out to the New World. You will enjoy time in Trujillo to visit the Plaza Mayor before crossing the border into Portugal and continue to Lisbon. Accommodation.

Day 2 Lisboa

Breakfast. Lisbon, the charming old world capital of Portugal is splendidly positioned on the mouth of the Tagus river. Tour of the city including the historic fortress museum called the Tower of Belem and the Monastery of Los Jeronimos as well as the historical Alfama quarter. Free afternoon to take an optional excursion to Sintra, Estoril and Cascais. A truly beautiful location Sintra is a mountain retreat in a pine forest where exotic gardens and historic palaces abound. Cascais and Estoril are two of the country'’s most popular summer resorts. Accommodation.

Day 3 Lisboa - Fátima - Lisboa

Breakfast. In the morning departure to Fatima, important centre for pilgrimage. Free time to visit the Shrine. Return to Lisbon. Accommodation.

Day 4 Lisbon - Caceres - Cordoba

Breakfast. Departure for Caceres where you have time to visit the Plaza Mayor and walk through the old city. Continue on to the delightful southern city of Cordoba. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 5 Córdoba - Sevilla

Breakfast and tour of Cordoba including the Mosque, the largest of its kind in the entire Islamic world and unique as the city's cathedral was built within its walls. Also visit the old Jewish quarter. Departure for Seville. Lunch. Afternoon free. Accommodation.

Day 6 Sevilla

Half Board. Morning city tour visiting the Park of Maria Luisa, Plaza de España and typical Barrio de Santa Cruz. Afternoon at leisure. Accommodation.

Day 7 Sevilla - Ronda - Marbella

Breakfast and departure along one of the most picturesque routes in Spain, 'the Route of the White Towns' to Ronda, famous for its location overlooking a gorge. Free time and continue on to Costa del Sol, a popular tourist area on the coast with wide sandy beaches. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 8 Marbella - Granada

Breakfast. Morning departure for Granada, which was once the grandest of all Moorish cities. Tour of one of the most impressive attractions in Europe, the magnificent Moorish palace, the Alhambra, and the Gardens of the Generalife (the Summer Palace). Dinner and accommodation.

Day 9 Granada - Valencia

Breakfast. Departure to the Mediterranean coast through Guadix, Baza and Puerto Lumbreras, to arrive finally in Valencia, home to the famous Spanish rice dish, 'paella'. Accommodation.

Day 10 Valencia - Barcelona

Breakfast. Free time in the morning before continuing to Barcelona. Accommodation.

Day 11 Barcelona

Breakfast. Morning city sightseeing tour of Spain's second city, site of the 1992 Olympic Games. The visit will include the Park of Montjuic, the monument of ‘Colon’ in honour of Columbus and the old Gothic quarter. Afternoon free to visit more of the wonderful sights including the marvellous buildings of the famous architect Antoni Gaudi. Accommodation.

Day 12 Barcelona - Zaragoza - Madrid

Breakfast and departure through Lerida and Zaragoza to Madrid. Arrival and end of tour services.
