Day 1 Madrid - Trujillo - Lisboa

Departure from the bus terminal at Calle Ferraz 3, at 08.00hrs through the region of Extremadura to arrive in Trujillo. It was from here that the famous 'conquistadores', Pizarro and Cortez ventured out to the New World. Free time to visit the Plaza Mayor. Cross the border into Portugal and continue to Lisbon. Accommodation.  Optional night tour to attend a show of Fado, typical Portuguese songs and music.

Day 2 Lisboa

Breakfast. Lisbon, the charming old world capital of Portugal is splendidly positioned on the mouth of the Tagus river. Morning tour of the city including the old Alfama Quarter, the Tower of Belem and the Monastery of Los Jeronimos. Free afternoon to take an optional excursion to Sintra, Estoril and Cascais. Sintra is a mountain retreat in a pine forest where exotic gardens and historic palaces abound. Accommodation.

Day 3 Lisboa - Fátima - Lisboa

Breakfast. In the morning departure to Fatima, important centre for pilgrimage. Free time to visit the shrine. Return to Lisbon. Accommodation.

Day 4 Lisboa - Caceres - Córdoba

Breakfast. Departure for the border and Caceres where you will have free time to explore the old city and the medieval quarter. Continue on to the delightful southern city of Cordoba. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 5 Córdoba - Sevilla

Breakfast and tour of Cordoba including the Mosque, the largest of its kind in the entire Islamic world. Also visit the old Jewish quarter. Departure for Seville. Lunch. Afternoon free. Accommodation.  Optional tour to attend a flamenco show.

Day 6 Sevilla

Half board. Morning city tour visiting the Park of Maria Luisa, Plaza de España and typical Barrio de Santa Cruz. Optional Artistic tour including the Royal Alcazar Palace.  Afternoon at leisure. Accommodation.

Day 7 Sevilla - Ronda - Marbella

Breakfast and departure along one of the most picturesque routes in Spain, 'the Route of the White Towns' to Ronda, famous for its location situated on a deep river gorge. Free time.  Optional excursion to Mijas or Gibraltar. Continuation to Costa del Sol, a popular tourist area on the coast with wide sandy beaches. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 8 Marbella - Granada

Breakfast.  Morning departure for Granada, which was once the grandest of all Moorish cities.  City tour including a visit to one of the most impressive attractions in Europe, the magnificent Moorish palace, the Alhambra, and the Gardens of the Generalife (the Summer Palace). Dinner and accommodation. Optional visit to the caves of Sacromonte and attend a typical show of gypsy flamenco.

Day 9 Granada - Toledo - Madrid

Breakfast. Departure towards the Imperial city of Toledo, a treasure trove of history and monuments. Lunch and city sightseeing through its maze of narrow streets and alleys. Return to Madrid. End of services.
