Andalucia & Toledo - Splendour of three cultures

Day 1 Madrid

Arrive in Madrid and this evening enjoy a welcome drink and orientation at the hotel Accommodation.

Day 2 Madrid

Breakfast. A Morning city tour of Old Madrid including the Hapsburgs courtesan district with its Baroque and Renaissance buildings. Explore the city’s sights such as the Puerta Del Sol, the Plaza Mayor as well as visiting inside the Royal Palace. Enjoy touring through Modern Madrid with highlights such as Las Ventas bullring and Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation.

Day 3 Madrid - Córdoba - Sevilla

Breakfast. 08:30 Pick up from your hotel and departure drive southward through the land of Don Quixote, “The man from La Mancha”, along the way observing vast vineyards. We will cross through the natural border of “Despeñaperros” and arrive in Andalucía. Arrival in Cordoba and enjoy a tour of the Impressive Mosque and the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon, after a short two hour drive reach Sevilla. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4 Sevilla

Breakfast. A morning city tour visiting the inside of the cathedral, the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome, the Santa Cruz Quarter, the Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España square. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure.  Dinner and accommodation. Optional Flamenco tour.

Day 5 Sevilla - Granada

After breakfast we will drive east through the Caliphate road to the heart of Andalucia observing an endless number of olive trees on the way to Granada, Spain’s Moorish city. Enjoy a visit the world famous Alhambra (Red Palace) and Generalife Gardens. It was built under Ismail I, Yusuf I and Muhammad V, caliphs when the Nasrid dynasty ruled Granada.  Dinner and accommodation. Optional Gypsy Flamenco show in the Sacromonte quarter.

Day 6 Granada - Toledo - Madrid

Breakfast. Drive north towards Castilla and surrounded by the Tagus river, to the impressive Imperial city of Toledo, World Heritage City where the three cultures Christians, Moorish and Jewish, have lived together in harmony.  Enjoy a City tour with its narrow streets and the famous “Damasquinado” (gold and silver inlaying in iron). Continue to Madrid. Accommodation.

Day 7 Madrid

Breakfast and End of services.
