John Ford Director

Swept off his feet by a Spanish beauty over 40 years ago, John’s passion and knowledge of his destinations is unrivalled.  With over 40 years experience in the industry and a great enthusiasm for the history of the Iberian Triangle, John can plan an itinerary for the most discerning of travellers.
John revisits our destinations at least once a year and a few of his favourite experiences include enjoying tapas and a vino with friends in Madrid, driving the winding roads of the north coast of Spain and strolling the streets of the University city of Coimbra.

Fiona Ford Office Manager

Having the travel bug in her blood, Fiona can’t remember doing anything else.  With over 15 years experience in planning Iberian itineraries, Fiona especially loves putting together creative independent travel both by car and rail as well as extensive Moroccan adventures.
A few of Fiona’s favourite experiences include port wine tasting in the Douro valley, buying black pottery in Salamanca, travelling through the Mallorcan countryside on the historic Soller railway and watching the sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga in Morocco.

Ursula Riquelme Senior Consultant

Enamoured by travel from an early age, Ursula has over 12 years experience at Ibertours, planning creative individual itineraries as well as large groups with great care. A speaker of both Spanish and Portuguese, Ursula will assist you to create a special itinerary and her enthusiasm for all things Andalucian is contagious.  
A few of Ursula’s favourite experiences include savouring pasteis de nata (custard tarts) in Lisbon, shopping for hand painted tiles in Granada and walking the tiny whitewashed streets of Ronda.

Marina Kladaric Senior Consultant

Part of our little family for over 6 years, Marina is so dedicated she completed a Spanish course to further enhance her knowledge and appreciation of our region. Experienced in both group and individual bookings, Marina loves to add unique experiences to each itinerary such as a pintxos tour in San Sebastian or a cooking class in Marrakesh. 
A few of Marina’s favourite experiences include watching Spain win the 2010 World Cup final in Madrid, eating different tapas in tiny bars, exploring Barcelona’s Modernist architecture and buying a traditional woven carpet in Fes.

Chloe Hughes Senior Consultant

Part of the Ibertours family for the last 5 years and an expert in all things Iberian, Chloe’s enthusiasm and bubbly disposition is infectious.  From an independent tour of Spain by rail to a deluxe private driver itinerary in Portugal, Chloe’s creativity shines, providing a carefully thought out and individually tailored itinerary to each client. 
A few of Chloe’s favourite experiences include enjoying a traditional Fado performance in Lisbon, strolling the old streets of Obidos, sipping on a port tonico overlooking the Douro river and exploring Madrid, historic Andalucia and Barcelona by small group tour.

Karisma Rashard Consultant

Our latest addition to the team is Karisma who grew up and lived in Paris until she moved to Australia a few years ago. Born of a Chilean mother and a Moroccan father, Karisma is fluent in French and Moroccan, having spent many holidays throughout her life visiting family in Morocco.  She also lived for three years in Casablanca in her early childhood, enriching her further by this experience and as a consequence, she is very familiar with Moroccan culture and customs. Nonetheless, Karisma is also proud of her Hispanic origins and studied Spanish language at school from the age of 13. Karisma loves to travel independently, getting lost in new cities and engaging with the locals. Food is another passion and her favourite experiences include relaxing in a hammam, bargaining in a soukh and drinking mint tea on a rooftop in Marrakesh watching the sunset.

Mike McMillan Sales Executive - VIC, TAS, SA & WA

Although not needing an introduction to many, we are thrilled to present our Sales and Promotions Manager – Michael McMillan.  With over 40 years in the industry, Mike’s background has been airlines, working with Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa and finally with Lauda/Austrian Airlines as their Regional Sales Manager VIC/TAS.  Very well travelled, Mike’s enthusiasm for our destinations is infectious and if you haven’t already met him, you will soon!  
A few of Mike’s favourite experiences include watching the sunset over the dunes of Merzouga, sitting in the Retiro gardens of Madrid listening to classical guitar and eating a gourmet lunch at the Parador of Santillana del Mar, as part of the El Transcantabrico Grand Luxe train group.

Peter Hewlett Sales Executive - NSW & ACT

Peter has been in the travel industry for more years than he cares to admit but has never lost his curiosity and love of travel.  He really enjoys his ongoing contact and relationships with travel consultants and still gets a thrill when agents proceed to ask for quotations and make bookings after his sales calls. What other industry gives such pleasure ? In addition, he loves to promote the professionalism and expertise that comes with representing tour wholesale companies like Ibertours providing clients with seamless travel arrangements and life changing experiences. Peter’s love of travel has taken him to most parts of the world but, be warned, he can talk for hours and is more than happy share endless photos of his own experiences in Kenya, Namibia, South Africa, India, Morocco, Portugal, Canada and Alaska to name just a few.

Sean Flint Sales Executive - QLD

Sean is a well-known industry identity, with close to 30 years’ experience in senior industry roles. His ability to be able to tell the great stories of his many travels to over 60 countries and his business acumen, have lead him to running his own successful Sales and Marketing company for 10 years in the Travel Industry. Qualifying what the clients wants coupled with the experience of the trip has always been a passion for Sean. Sean is a keen observer of Moroccan politics and social fabric, loves reading about the Spanish History and has a huge affection for the Portuguese culinary fare. His daughter Isabella is named after Queen Isabella of Spain. Sean’s company FTM Australia represents Ibertours Travel in Queensland.
